Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Sgt. Robbie Grimes arrested Charles Webb age 58 of Portland, Oregon on Tuesday afternoon June 14, 2016 approximately 3:17 PM.
The arrest occurred off US 25E, approximately 10 miles south of London after Sgt. Grimes was dispatched to assist EMS on a complaint of a driver with a possible medical condition at a business there.
When Sgt. Grimes arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that this subject was allegedly observed backing out of a parking spot and his white colored Nissan 300ZX was observed making contact with the vehicle next to him.
EMS checked this individual prior to Sgt. Grimes making contact with him. Sgt. Grimes conducted an investigation on the individual who had slurred speech and was very uncoordinated and determined that this subject was under the influence of drugs.
Charles Webb was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense and numerous other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
