LSO Seeking This Suspect in Stolen Debit Card Case

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Josh Scott along with other deputies have investigated several thefts of items from parked vehicles which have occurred in the Lily / Keavy area recently including Ky 552 and Rook's Branch Road.

Most recently, Deputy Scott investigated 2 thefts in those areas on Wednesday morning June 15, 2016. In a recent theft, contents of a vehicle were stolen including a debit card, and at approximately 6:04 A.M. Wednesday morning June 15, 2016, a male subject attempted to use that stolen credit card at Walmart in southern Laurel County.

Deputy Scott along with management from Walmart worked together reviewing surveillance video from the store to identify a possible suspect.

A photo of the suspect who attempted to use the reported stolen debit card is attached. If anyone can identify this suspect, please contact the Laurel County Sheriff's office at 606-864-6600 or 606-879-7000. Information will be strictly confidential.

The investigation is continuing.

Sheriff Root reminds everyone to please lock your vehicles and secure your belongings in your vehicle. Items of value including purses, wallets and electronic items should be removed from the vehicle, and not left in plain view.
