Keith, Ky. (June 25, 2016) – On June 25, 2016 at approximately 12:42 Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan received a call of a two vehicle injury collision on U S Highway 119 in the Keith community of Harlan County.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Elmer Shoemaker, 78, of Baxter was operating a 1992 Toyota pickup attempting to pull onto U S Highway 119 from a private drive way and struck Terry Cornett, 61, also of Baxter who was operating a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling south bound on U S Highway 119.
Mr. Cornett was flown from Harlan ARH to Holsten Valley Medical Center due to injuries sustained in the collision.
Mr. Shoemaker was treated by Johnson’s LifeCare on scene.
Investigation continues by Tpr Andy Soltess. Tpr Soltess was assisted by Tpr Kenny Abner, Sgt A.J. Bunch, and Johnson’s LIfeCare Ambulance.
