Complaint leads to arrest and multiple charges for a Corbin man


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Kyle Gray along with US forest service agent Bob O'Neill arrested Mark Webb age 45 of Laura Place, Corbin on Tuesday afternoon June 28, 2016 at approximately 3:18 PM.

The arrest occurred at a service station off US 25 approximately 6 miles south of London after Deputy Gray was dispatched to a complaint that a male subject had pulled up to a gas pump in a black Volkswagen Passat and was just sitting there, did not exit the vehicle and appeared to be slumped over the driver's seat with the vehicle still in gear and his foot on the brake pedal.

Officers attempted to awaken the driver and after several minutes were able to get this individual out of the car and conduct an investigation determining that he was under the influence. This subject stated he had taken Xanax prior to driving.

Mark Webb was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense; driving on DUI suspended license – first offense ; possession of a controlled substance; prescription controlled substance is not in proper container – first offense; failure to wear seatbelts; failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense; and numerous other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
