DUI arrested man threatens LSO deputy

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: deputy Kyle Gray arrested Patrick Graham II age 43 of Village Wood Court, Lily on Wednesday evening June 29, 2016 at approximately 6 PM.

The arrest occurred in a business parking lot off US 25 approximately 1 mile north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject was allegedly trying to get through the doors of the business to see his ex-wife.

When deputies arrived at the scene they located the suspect sitting in the driver's seat of his silver colored Dodge pickup drinking a beer.

Deputies conducted an investigation and learned that this subject had allegedly created a disturbance inside the business. In addition, this subject had dilated pupils and slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet and was determined to be under the influence.

While this subject was being processed at the Sheriff's office, he became irate and threatened to take a knife and stab Deputy Gray in the throat to kill him. This subject then allegedly attempted to leave the Sheriff's office and scuffled with Deputy Gray destroying office equipment in the Sheriff's office and destroying part of Deputy Gray's uniform.

Patrick Graham II was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; operating on suspended or revoked operators license; disorderly conduct – second-degree; criminal trespassing – second-degree; terroristic threatening – third-degree; resisting arrest; criminal mischief – second-degree; and possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited.

Deputies assisting included Sgt. Larry Parrott, Deputy Brandon Broughton, Deputy Rick Cloyd, and CSO Roy Ball. Patrick Graham II was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
