WCSD - Whitley County E911 has reported an increase in calls regarding bear sightings.
Most recently, bears have been reported along Eaton Town Road in the Woodbine community and in the Bee Creek community.In previous weeks, bear sightings have been reported across the county.
Please do not approach bears or leave food for them.
Regarding human and bear interactions, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife states, "most conflicts are the result of intentional feeding, or access to other human-related sources such as garbage, pet food, livestock feed, and birdfeeders."
