Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Sgt. Larry Parrott along with Deputy Shannon Jones and Deputy Daniel Grigsby arrested Silas King age 48 of White Pine, Tennessee on Friday night July 1, 2016 at approximately 11:23 PM.
The arrest occurred on I-75, approximately 8 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a three vehicle traffic crash which occurred there.
Apparently this subject was driving a black colored Ford Ranger that struck a car in the rear end forcing it into another vehicle and shutting down the interstate for approximately one hour and a half.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they determined that this subject was apparently under the influence.
Silas King was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; following another vehicle too closely; prescription controlled substance is not in proper container – first offense; and careless driving. In addition, this subject was charged on a Madison County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court.
This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
