Two arrests off Dow Adkins Lane in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Detective James Sizemore along with Detective Jason Back arrested two individuals off Dow Adkins Lane , approximately 8 miles south of London early Wednesday morning June 29, 2016 at approximately 12:25 AM.

Arrested was:

  • James Egner age 43 of Dow Adkins Ln., London charged on a Laurel County warrant of arrest obtained by Detective James Sizemore charging two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense and persistent felony offender I. This subject was being sought by the Sheriff's office regarding the drug roundup - "Operation Turning Up the Heat" which was conducted on June 1st, 2016 where sheriff's deputies were seeking 35 individuals on drug trafficking and possession charges throughout Laurel County based on undercover investigations conducted by Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back and Detective James Sizemore. 27 persons have been arrested, and additional arrests will be continuing.
  • Wayne Colter age 57 of Dow Adkins Ln., London charged on a Whitley County bench warrant of arrest charging restitution owed regarding a charge of forgery – third-degree.
  • These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
