Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Detective Kevin Berry arrested John Cornett age 43 of Highway 830, Gray, Kentucky on Sunday night July 10, 2016 at approximately 10:09 PM.
The arrest occurred off American Greeting Card Road, approximately 13 miles south of London after Laurel County EMS requested assistance from the Laurel County Sheriff's office regarding a male subject that was creating a disturbance at an emergency call EMS had responded to.
When Detective Berry arrived at the scene, he observed the subject being very belligerent and creating a disturbance with the EMS crew that was on scene assisting a patient.
Upon arrest the subject scuffled with Detective Berry before being taken into custody.
John Cornett was charged with disorderly conduct – second-degree and resisting arrest and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
