LSO Deputy Responds to 911 Domestic Complaint of an Out-of-Control Female


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Melissa Mills age 37 Of Rueben Lane, Mt. Vernon early Thursday morning July 14, 2016 at approximately 5:41 AM.

The arrest occurred off Sasser Road, approximately 10 miles east of London after Deputy Houston was dispatched to a 911 domestic complaint of an out-of-control female subject there.

When Deputy Houston arrived at the scene, this subject saw him pull in to the residence, and this subject attempted to flee by running up an embankment but was apprehended a short distance away. This subject began yelling and screaming and creating a disturbance there and attempted to break free but was escorted to the police car.

This subject was determined to be extremely intoxicated and continue to yell while en route to the detention facility.

Melissa Mills was charged with disorderly conduct – second degree; fleeing or evading police – second degree – on foot; menacing; and public intoxication – controlled substances.

This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
