Lockard's Creek, KY - The Clay County Coroner's Office was dispatched at 1:54 A.M. Tuesday, to Highway 149 to an apparent suicide.
Upon arrival, Clay County Coroner Danny Finley was advised by Law Enforcement, that 51 year old Bert Jones had apparently hanged himself in his residence using an electrical cord.
Neighbors had discovered Jones, freed him and immediately contacted authorities. Jones had apparently fashioned a noose from a heavy electrical cord. Cause of death was ruled as ligature strangulation.
Responding to the scene were the Manchester Police Department, Clay County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky State Police, Clay County EMS and fire department personnel.
