Deputies charge man with DUI & Domestic Violence in Laurel County


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Sgt. Larry Parrott along with Deputy Shawn Jackson, Deputy Tommy Houston, and Deputy Shannon Jones arrested Rondal Lyndon age 44 of Greg Ln., Apartments, London early Saturday morning July 16, 2016 at approximately 3:02 AM.

The arrest occurred on Levi Jackson Mill Road, in London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject had assaulted his girlfriend off Greg Lane, and she was beaten up very badly.

While deputies were en route to the scene, they were advised that the male subject had left in a black Toyota 4Runner. Deputies located the suspect vehicle conducting a rolling roadblock on it causing it to stop.

When deputies made contact with the driver they detected the smell of alcoholic beverages emitting from him. Deputies told the driver on five occasions to exit the vehicle however he refused. Deputies physically removed him from the vehicle and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence. This subject advised he had drank about a half pint of Jim Beam.

Deputies conducted an investigation at the scene of the reported assault learning that allegedly this subject had struck his girlfriend with his fists several times while her seven-year-old daughter was present during the assault. Deputies noted that the female victim had several bumps on her head and also had hair that had been pulled out.

Rondal Lyndon was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; assault – fourth degree; resisting arrest; and failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense.

This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
