Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Shawn Jackson along with Deputy Shannon Jones and Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Danny Jones age 26 of E.B. Gross Rd., East Bernstadt early Thursday morning July 28, 2016 at approximately 2:20 AM.
The arrest occurred off Lily Road, approximately 5 miles south of London after this subject was allegedly involved in a single vehicle traffic crash which occurred on Lily Road.
When deputies arrived at the scene, this subject was attempting to get his vehicle out of the ditch to drive home.
Deputies detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from this subject and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence.
Danny Jones was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; reckless driving; driving too fast for traffic conditions; and other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
