Clay County man facing charges in Laurel County


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Sgt. Larry Parrott arrested a Manchester man on Wednesday night August 3, 2016 at approximately 10:48 PM.

Arrested was:

Billy Brumley age 53 of Shirley Don Rd., Manchester, KY.

The arrest occurred off North Laurel Road, approximately 3 miles north of London after Sgt. Parrott was dispatched to a complaint that a male subject there appeared to be intoxicated was banging on the doors of the East Bernstadt Fire Department and would not leave.

When Sgt. Parrott arrived at the scene he found the individual and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence. The subject was creating a disturbance and admitted to smoking marijuana, taking pain pills, and injecting methamphetamine. This subject was found in possession of an uncapped needle in his left front pants pocket.

Billy Brumley was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; disorderly conduct – second degree; and possession of drug paraphernalia and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
