RICHMOND, Ky. (August 17, 2016) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is investigating a fatal collision that claimed the life of a Richmond resident on Interstate 75, between Richmond and Berea late last night.
The initial investigation indicates that just after 11:00 pm last night, Joshua T. Thompson, 27 years old of Richmond, was traveling north in a Kia Forte on I-75 near mile marker 82, and rear-ended a tractor trailer that was travelling slow due to being stuck in traffic.
Thompson was transported to Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by the Madison County Coroner.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Trooper Adam Hall.
