Knox County deputy receives information leading to the location of a pink shoe containing drugs

Flat Lick, KY - The Knox County, Ky Sheriff's Department is reporting that on August 25, 2016 at approximately 2:15 pm Deputy Keith Liford received information from the Knox County Detention Center that an inmate, Jason McCulley, had drugs hidden in a pink shoe at his mom’s house on Mary Davis Lane in Flat Lick.

After traveling to the residence and conducting an investigation, Deputy Liford located the pink shoe which contained suspected Crystal Meth, 3 yellow tablets and a used syringe. Deputy Liford charged Jason McCulley age 38 of Barbourville, KY with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Control Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Control Substance 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Jason McCulley was initially arrested on August 25, 2016 at 1:30 am when Deputy Mikey Ashurst was dispatched to a residence on Mary Davis Lane in Flat Lick regarding a man with a knife.

Deputy Ashurst charged Jason McCulley with Violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
