Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Josh Scott arrested Jennifer Asher age 25 Of Lewiston Rd., London on Tuesday afternoon August 30, 2016 at approximately 1:05 PM.
The arrest occurred off East Pittsburgh Church Rd., approximately 1/2 mile north of London after Deputy Scott was dispatched to a complaint that a passerby had located two small children playing in the roadway with no adults around.
When Deputy Scott arrived at the scene he contacted Social Services who also responded to the scene and took custody of the two children -ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2.
As the investigation continued Deputy Scott located the mother of the children asleep inside a residence off Board Walk Circle. She stated that the children did not wake her up.
Jennifer Asher was charged with wanton endangerment – first-degree; endangering the welfare of a minor ; and abused or neglected child.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
