Criminal Trespassing arrest near a school in Laurel County


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Detective Kevin Berry along with Deputy Brandon Broughton, Lieut. Greg Poynter, Detective Kyle Gray, and CSO Tyler McDaniel arrested Kameron Lunsford age 27 Ruby Jones Lane, East Bernstadt on Thursday afternoon September 15, 2016 at approximately 3:55 PM.

The arrest occurred off Ky 1376 near East Bernstadt approximately 4 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject had came onto East Bernstadt school property next to the playground and had approached some of the children that were outside playing.

Apparently this subject fled the school area upon being approached by teachers. Deputies and detectives from the Sheriff's office promptly responded to the school and canvassed the area and located the male subject in a short time that fit the description of the suspect staggering on the roadway at the intersection of Ky 1376.

Deputies conducted an investigation and determined that this subject was under the influence. Upon being arrested the subject struggled with deputies and detectives briefly and was taken into custody.

Kameron Lunsford was charged with criminal trespassing – third-degree; disorderly conduct – second degree; public intoxication – controlled substances; and resisting arrest. This subject caused considerable alarm at the school.

In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County indictment warrant of arrest charging flagrant nonsupport.
