*UPDATE* - Road reopened after fatal crash in Clay County



Clay County, KY (Sat. Sept. 17, 2016) - According to a source at the scene, Old Hwy. 80 is now open for normal traffic flow. 

The roadway had been closed for over 7 hours following a fatal early morning single vehicle accident in the Hima community of Clay County. No names have been released to ClayCoNews at this time.

Clay County, KY (Sat. Sept. 17, 2016) - According to KSP Troopers at the scene: One person is dead and another has been airlifted to UK Hospital for treatment following an early morning single vehicle accident in the Hima community of Clay County.

The accident apparently happened sometime before 5:00 A.M.. No names are being released at this time.

The roadway is closed from the Horse Creek Baptist Church to Horse Creek Holiness Church also Crawfish Road is closed at Hima. The roads will remain closed till the KSP accident reconstructionist team is finished and the scene is cleared.
