MILO, KY - In the morning hours of Tuesday, September 27, 2016, Post 9 Pikeville was contacted by Martin County Sheriff's Office requesting assistance with a Death Investigation.
Detectives from Post 09 responded to the scene and determined that remains were located in a wooded area in the Milo community of Martin County. The remains were identified as human.
The initial investigation at the scene did not reveal the person's identity or gender.
The remains were sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office. Additional information concerning this case will be released as information becomes available.
This incident remains under investigation by KSP Detective Jason Dials.
