Harlan, Ky. – On 10/01/16 at 20:23 hrs Kentucky State Police Post 10, Harlan received a call from Brenda Blanton stating that she was at her residence when an unknown male entered her residence and brandished a firearm demanding money, he then tied the victim up and took several items belonging to her.The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Tpr. Andy Soltess and Tpr. Jonathan Carlock, Tpr. Kenneth Sergent and Tpr Jacob Spurlock responded to the scene to begin the investigation and discovered the identity of the male subject and began a canvas of the neighborhood to attempt to locate the subject.
Later that night, Tpr. Kenneth Sergent located male subject William Saylor (27) of Coldiron, Ky. and charged him with Robbery 1st degree, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
This subject was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
