London, KY - On Sunday, October 16, 2016 at approximately 2:15 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London was contacted by the McCreary County Sheriff’s Office about a deceased subject in a wooded area off HWY 92 in the Stearns Community of McCreary County.
Upon arrival, Detective Billy Correll discovered a deceased male approximately 40 feet over an embankment.
Foul play is not suspected.
The body has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed. Preliminary cause of death and identification of the deceased are expected later.
Detective Correll is continuing the investigation. He was assisted at the scene by Troopers from Post 11, McCreary County Coroner’s Office, McCreary County Sheriff’s Office and Whitley City Fire Department.
