Former Kentucky Federal Corrections Supervisor Sentenced to 66 Months for Leading Cover-Ups of Inmate Assaults and Making False Reports

A former Bureau of Prisons supervisor, Kevin X. Pearce, 39, was sentenced yesterday to 66 months in prison followed by one year of supervised release for leading two cover-ups of assaults of inmates held at U.S. Penitentiary Big Sandy. Pearce was convicted after a six-day trial. His co-defendants, former corrections officers Samuel Patrick and Clinton Pauley, previously pleaded guilty and were respectively sentenced to 36 and 40 months in prison. 

Supreme Court of Kentucky to Hear Oral Arguments December 6-7 in Frankfort

FRANKFORT, KY, December 4, 2023 – The Supreme Court of Kentucky will hear oral arguments Wednesday and Thursday in Frankfort. Proceedings are open to the public and will take place at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. EST each day in the historic Supreme Court Courtroom on the second floor of the Capitol.

KSP POST 2, MADISONVILLE TRAFFIC-SAFETY CHECKPOINT ANNOUNCEMENT

MADISONVILLE, KY –  The Kentucky State Police (KSP) will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints throughout the Post 2 district, to check motorists for compliance with motor vehicle laws including driving under the influence statutes. KSP utilizes traffic safety checkpoints to promote safety for motorists using the public roadways and to provide a deterrent for those who violate laws contained in the Kentucky Revised Statutes.
