Kentucky investing $3.7 million to support research initiative and create jobs

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb. 27, 2014) – On behalf of Governor Steve Beshear, Lt. Governor Jerry Abramson joined University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto and University of Louisville President James Ramsey to announce $3.7 million in state funding and in-kind contributions to support a comprehensive federal initiative focused on enhancing advanced manufacturing nationwide and bringing more highly skilled jobs to the Commonwealth.

Gov. Beshear awards Kentucky Work Ready Communities

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Steve Beshear has announced that Oldham County has been certified as a Kentucky Work Ready Community and Mason and Todd counties have achieved Kentucky Work Ready Communities in Progress status. Daviess, Henderson, Warren and Woodford counties have been recertified as Kentucky Work Ready Communities.

Office for the Blind to hold public hearings in 2014

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky Office for the Blind (OFB) has scheduled four public hearings to give consumers and other interested individuals an opportunity to comment on the needs of the blind and visually impaired as well as annual revisions to the State Plan for Vocational Rehabilitation Services for 2015.
