KSP Post 7 Traffic Safety Checkpoint Announcement

RICHMOND, Ky. (September 4, 2019) The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, which provides coverage for Madison, Clark, Estill, Lee, Owsley, Jackson, Mercer, Boyle, Lincoln, Garrard and Jessamine counties, will be conducting periodic traffic safety checkpoints at locations approved by the Kentucky State Police Policy and Procedures Manual.

FRANKFORT, KY  - The Kentucky Department for Public Health (DPH) is working closely with health care providers, local health departments, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) to gather information and investigate severe pulmonary disease related to e-cigarette product use or vaping, primarily among adolescents and young adults.

Laurel Deputies charge Madison Co. man during complaint investigation

Laurel County, Ky. (Sept. 2, 2019) -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Gary Mehler and his K-9 “Edge” along with Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Matthew Edward Farthing age 35 of Richmond, KY on Friday night August 30, 2019 at approximately 10:48 PM.

Perryville, Ky. (Sept. 2, 2019)  On August 29, 2019, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Kenneth Ray Cook, 41, on charges related to unlawful distribution and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
