Sam Abner, age 88, of East Bernstadt, KY, passed away Friday March 16th, 2018 at his home.
He is survived by the following children: George Abner and wife Lois, Buckhorn, KY, Terry Abner and wife Teresa, East Bernstadt, KY, Johnny Abner and wife Sherry, East Bernstadt, KY, Loretta Gross and husband Auster, Thelma Eads, Hillsboro, OH, Rosa Lee Reeves, Lily, KY, Donna Jean Davidson, East Bernstadt, KY, and Virginia Blackburn, and husband Ronald of New Vinnia, OH.
He is also survived by three brothers Auster Abner and Edgar Abner, both of Indiana, and Lee Abner, Oneida, KY, two sisters Mary Ethel Hollen, Wildcat, KY, and Sadie Young, of East Bernstadt, KY, as well as 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his wife Pauline Young Abner, his parents John and Frances Abner, one grandchild Amber Nicole Evans, one brother G.W. Abner, one sister Margie Collins, and one son in law Allen Ray Reeves.
The funeral service will be held 3 PM Tuesday March 20th, 2018 at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Smith and Adam Fusion officiating. Burial will follow in the Abner Family Cemetery at East Bernstadt.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at the Britton Funeral Home.
