Gilbert Bowling, 85, of Manchester, KY, passed away Monday, April 9th, at his home.
Gilbert was born in Manchester, KY on June 3, 1932, a son of the late Oda (Smith) and Kelly Bowling.
Gilbert is survived by his wife, Sallie (Henson) Bowling; and by the following children: Wayne Bowling and wife Teresa of Manchester, Roger Bowling and wife Anglea of Lee County, Gary Bowling of Manchester, Timothy Bowling and wife Deana of Lexington, Melissa Bowling of Manchester, Ricky Bowling and wife Janet of Manchester, Jason Bowling and wife Melissa of Manchester, and Timothy Wayne Bowling of Manchester.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Gilbert was preceded in death by his sons: Jerry Bowling, Freddy Bowling and James Bowling; and the following brothers and sisters: Robert Bowling, Elbert Bowling, Mary Henson, Hobert Bowling and Edith Hubbard.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 14th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY with George Roberts, Todd Hicks, Bobby Stevens, John Pew and Harrison Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow in the Henson-Bowling Cemetery on Hector.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Friday, April 13th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY.
