Barbara Spurlock, 69, of Oneida, KY, passed away Wednesday, April 11th, at her home.
Barbara was born in Saul, KY on September 8, 1948, a daughter of the late Iree (Rice) and Bascum Bowling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Spurlock.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Smith of Manchester; and by her five sons: Roy Spurlock and wife Charlene of London, Ron Spurlock and wife Kisha of Manchester, Jamie Spurlock and wife Sally of Manchester, Jay Spurlock and wife Jillian Spurlock of Manchester and Robert Preston Spurlock of Oneida.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Zachary Spurlock, Faith Spurlock, Blake Spurlock, Alyssa Martin, Haley Spurlock, Jayce Spurlock, Amanda Spurlock, Jessica Spurlock, Jayden Adams, Ashley Collins, Shenoia Hill, Jordan Spurlock and Bentley Feltner; by the following sisters and brothers: Ivalene Estep, Becky Rice, Ruthie Younts,Thelma Harbo, Patrick Bowling, O'neil Bowling, Denny Bowling, Lonzo Bowling, Edgar Bowling, David Bowling and Stevie Bowling; and by a special friend, Rick Ledford.
In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Pierce Bowling, her sister-in-law, Penny Bowling, and her son-in-law, Charles Smith.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 14th at the Mt. Paran Baptist Church in Saul, KY, with Joey Burns, Brad Stevens and Robert Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Irvin Hill Cemetery on Oneida.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Friday, April 13th at the Mt. Paran Baptist Church in Saul, KY.
