Donald Lee Lipps, 85, of London, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 8th, at the Baptist Health Corbin ContinueCARE Hospital.
Donald was born in Plank, KY on February 1, 1933, a son of the late Edna (Wagers) and Sam Lipps.
He was survived by his wife, Norma (Smith) Lipps.
He is also survived by three special nieces and nephew: Carolyn (Charlie) Murphy, Edna (Billy Jo) Hicks and Woodson (Connie) Asher; by several great nieces and nephews; by a special friend, Shanna, who called him daddy and he called her his own; and by his sister-in-law, Lucy Carol Smith.
In addition to his parents, Sam and Edna Lipps, Donald was preceded in death by two sons: Coleman Lipps and Larry Lipps; and his sister, Eva Asher.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 11th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY, with Golden Smith, Jr., Tess Lipps and Steven Baker officiating. Burial will follow at the Lipps Cemetery on Goose Rock.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 10th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY.
