Mr. Fird Carver age 91 departed this life on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek Nursing. He was born on Wednesday, December 22, 1926 in North Carolina to the union of Dan and Vista Miller Carver. He worked at a sawmill, was a member of the Pentecostal Church and was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II and was very proud to have served his country.
He leaves to mourn his passing his son: Bill Carver and his wife Glenna, his daughter: Marilyn Spurlock and her husband Bobby, his grandchildren: Brian Carver, Nicholas Carver, Barry Spurlock and Lindsay Westerfield. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren: Jackson Carver, Garrett Carver, Olivia Carver, Emma Spurlock, Emory Spurlock, Amber Spurlock, Alaina Spurlock, Evan Spurlock and Raegan Westerfield as well as his brother: Dan Carver.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Dan and Vista Carver, his wife: Violet Carver and his daughter: Sharon Carver.
Funeral Services for Mr. Fird Carver will be conducted on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel with full military honors. Rev. Bobby Stevens, Rev. Todd Hicks, Rev. Tim Reid, Rev. Rondall Westerfield and Barry Spurlock will be presiding. He will be laid to rest next to his loving wife and daughter at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Sunday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rominger Funeral Home.
