Florence Marie Roark, 72, of Manchester, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 29th, at the Landmark of Laurel Creek Nursing Home.
Florence was born in Tanksley, KY on March 3, 1946, a daughter of the late Perlina (Hornsby) and Dan Owens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tilmon Roark.
Florence is survived by her children: Bessie Roark of Wildcat, Joyce Marie Combs and husband Oakley of Wildcat, Eleanor Sandlin and husband Bobbie Sandlin of Laurel Creek, Douglas James Roark and wife Ruth of Sacker and Edward Roark of Wildcat.
She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters, Charles Owens of Brookville, IN, Earl Owens of Wildcat, Doug Owens of London, Alex Lee Owens of Moscow, OH, William Owens of Beattyville, Lucy Wilson of Tyner, Glenna Faye Sizemore of Laurel County and Della Smith, of London; by 6 grandchildren: Jesse Daniel Combs, Stephen James Combs, Danielle Denise Byrd, David McKinnley Sandlin, Bobby Joe Sandlin and Melissa Sandlin Roark; 2 great grandchildren: Zoey Brooke Grace Byrd and Kloey Faith Denise Byrd; and one unborn great grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, Florence was preceded in death by her grandchild, Daniel Roark, and the following brothers and sisters: James Owens, Anna Frazier, Roger Owens, Paul Owens and Mary Katherine Owens.
Service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 2nd at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY, with William Owens and Wendell Carmack officiating. Burial will follow at the Hornsby Cemetery on Laurel Creek.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 1st at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY.
