Violet Marie Thompson Pennington went home to be with our Lord Jesus and her beloved husband, Sherman, on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Violet was born on Saturday, July 11, 1931 to Benjamin Harrison Thompson and Avis Estelle Hicks. She was married to Sherman Pennington in December of 1948 and they were married until his death in December of 1982.
She is survived by her three daughters: Wanda Stukey and her husband Rich of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Joyce Kresge and her husband Walt of Ortonville, Michigan and Debra Roberts of Manchester, Kentucky. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jamie Chadwell, Jeff Payne, Matt Payne, Melanie Evans, Jeremy Riley (deceased), and Erica Roberts. She is also survived by one sister: Barbara Martin from California and 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She leaves behind a great number of relatives and friends. She is at home now with her Lord, Whom she loved very much.
A Celebration of life for Violet Marie Thompson Pennington will be conducted on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charlie Goodman will be presiding. Interment will follow in the Medlock Cemetery in the Annville Community.
The family of Violet Marie Thompson Pennington will receive friends on Friday evening after 6:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
