Jimmie Lee Mathis, age 77 of Manchester passed away December 12th at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.
He was owner and operator of Horseshoe Pole Barn Company for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joan (Brewer) Mathis; and by 2 sons, Mike (Lilly) Elam and Chris (Amanda) Cook. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Jordan, Luke and Austin Elam, Kristopher, Savannah, Autumn and Summer Cook, and Taylor and Austin Bustle; and 1 great granddaughter, Audrey Elam. Along with 3 sisters: Dorothy Kemmeter, Debbie Malicote (both of Ohio) and Lillie Mathis (of Kentucky). 3 special nieces: Brenda, Dianna and Pam, along with a host of other nieces and nephews.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Audrey Mathis; his father and mother-in-law, Sam and Margaret Brewer (Ohio); 5 sisters: Emma, Pauline, Bobbie Jo, Louise and Janet; 2 brothers: Nick and Billy Mathis.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 15th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY, with Todd Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at the Campbell Cemetery at Fall Rock, KY.
