Ed “Bug” Smith, Jr., age 56 departed this life on Friday, February 8, 2019. He was born on Thursday, September 27, 1962 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union Ed “Rabbit” and Minnie Goins Smith.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Carol Smith, his children: Jeremy Smith, Jessica Smith, Chase Mize, his grandchildren: Olivia, Jacob, McKayla and Allayna, his step children: Angel Helton, Shannah Mize, Cory Mize and Cody Feltner, 10 step grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Clyde Smith, Beve Smith and his wife Sally, Betty Ely, Walker Smith and his wife Marietta, Carolyn Dezarn, Russell “Rabbit” Smith and Joan Diedrick and her husband John.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Ed “Rabbit” and Minnie Smith.
A celebration of life for Ed “Bug” Smith, Jr. will be conducted on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Herbert “Tip” Minton and Rev. Darrell Bargo will be presiding. He will be laid to rest next to his parents in the Enjine Cemetery in the Blue Hole Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rominger Funeral Home.
