Joan Lee Lewis Henson, age 69 went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Advent Health Center in Manchester, Kentucky. She was born on Friday, May 27, 1949 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of William and Lucy Lee (Gregory) Lewis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crawfish Holiness Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter: Linda Faye France and her son: William Curtis Henson and his wife: Tammy. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Lindsay Smith and her husband Robert, Jonathan Henson and his wife: Fannie Ashley, Ashley Murray and her husband John and Emma Grace Henson; these great grandchildren: Connor Murray, Rylan Murray, Hadley Murray, Jonah Smith, and Isaac Henson. Also surviving is one brother: Ray Lewis.
She is preceded in death by her parents: William and Lucy Lee Lewis; her husband: Rev. Daugh Henson, and her children: Jenny Henson, Johnny Henson, Rachel Sester, and sisters: Betty Jean Cope and Joyce Sams.
Funeral Services for Joan Henson will be conducted on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Cecil Benge and Rev. Jonathan Henson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith and Curry Cemetery in the Curry Branch Community.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 6 after 6:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
