Jelema Root, age 87, of Manchester, passed away Wednesday July 10th, 2019 at Advent health Manchester.
She was a member of Horse Creek Baptist Church.
Jelema is survived by one son Larry Root of Manchester and one grandchild Tonya Renee Root of Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her husband Matt Root, her parents Nelson and Lula Smith and the following brothers and sisters: D.C. Smith, Andy H. Smith, Herman Smith, Vernice Schafer, Virginia Henson, and Chelsea Johnson.
The funeral service for Jelema will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday July 16th, 2019 at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Crockett officiating. Burial will follow in the Roots Branch Cemetery at Horse Creek.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Monday July 15th, 2019 at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel.
