Marie Hayre, age 78, of Manchester, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Landmark of Laurel Creek. She was born on September 10, 1940 to the union of Cecil Murphy and June Mills Murphy.
Marie is survived by the following children; Patty Harris and husband Ricky, as well as Monroe Hayre and wife Ethelene all of Manchester, KY.
She is also survived by the following grandchildren; Courtney Harris, Patrick Harris, and Justin Hayre and wife Deanna. She also leaves behind five great grand children; Chelsey Hubbard, Cierra Harris, Noah Harris, Adriele Harris, and Evan Grayson Hayre.
Marie also leaves behind two sisters; Faye Edwards and husband Gordan, as well as Mattie Brown and husband LeRoy.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband; O.D. Hayre and one son, Anthony Hayre. She was also preceded in death by her parents Cecil and June Murphy, two sisters; Addie Philpot and Helen Murphy as well as two brothers; Hurlie Murphy and James Murphy.
The funeral service for Marie will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 22, 2019 , at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Charlie Murphy, Travis Dezar, and Brad Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the Lacey Abner Cemetery on Little Goose.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 21, 2019.
