“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

She was a devoted wife of Buddy “Fred” Britton and together they built a life rooted in love. As a mother of six she gave her heart to her children completely. She was the gentle force that kept the family together, nurturing generations to come.

Her legacy will live through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, a living garden of her love and guidance.

To her friends, the strong women she stood beside, she was a sister in spirit, a confidante, a source of laughter and wisdom.

To her oldest brother, Darrell Bowling not just her brother her best friend, a lifelong companion and lifelong friend (who threw her into the swimming hole to “sink or swim”).

Lovenia was a member of Muddy Gap Baptist Church, the Eastern Star and Jackson County 4-H.

Lovenia was a woman whose life bloomed with purpose and love, just like the flowers she skillfully arranged. As a florist she didn’t just create beauty with her hands, she brought it into the lives of everyone she touched. Her presence was a gift, steady, warm and deeply cherished. She lived her life with faith, grace and quiet strength. She fought the good fight, not with noise but with kindness, endurance and unwavering love. She finished her race surrounded by the lives she helped shape, the love she so meticulously cultivated and the faith she held onto until the very end.
