Vestie Sizemore Ruth, 87, of Manchester, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 4th, at the Landmark of Laurel Creek Nursing Home. Vestie was born in Beverly, KY on December 17, 1937, a daughter of the late Jack and Gertrude Holland Sizemore.
Vestie is survived by her husband, Roy Ruth of Manchester; her children: James Ruth of Manchester and Deania Ruth of Nashville, TN; and by her granddaughter, Whitney MaKayla Ruth (Keaton) of Richmond.
She is also survived by her brother and sisters: Lewis Sizemore of Manchester, Lucy Burton of Stanford, and Helen Dick of Cary, NC; her special sister-in-law, Ethel Sizemore; and by her special friends, Emma Keen and Carolyn Smith.
In addition to her parents, Vestie was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: James Farmer Sizemore, James Foster Sizemore, Earl Sizemore, Gladys Sizemore, and Edith Purcell.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 8th at Britton Funeral Home, with Verlon Gray and David Bernard officiating. Burial will take place at 12:00 PM on Monday, June 8th at Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 7th at Britton Funeral Home.
