Woodruff "Woody" Conover, 88, of Sidell, was born November 3rd, 1924, passed away Friday, March 8th, 2013, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers local chapter #181 and a 50 year member of Robert Clark Lodge #646 F&AM.
He is survived by one son, Edwin Wheeler Conover, of Cumberland, one daughter, Lorene C. Hensley, of Sidell, two grandchildren: Jonathan Edward Hensley and Elizabeth Ann Hensley, and one brother, Rondall Conover, of Las Vegas, NV.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fern Conover, two brothers: Eugene Travis Conover and Harvey Conover, and his sister, Lenora Corbin.
A celebration of life for Woodruff "Woody" Conover will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Greenbriar Presbyterian Church with Dennis Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodson Hacker Cemetery at Sidell.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and after 1:00 p.m. Monday at the church. A Masonic service will be held Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the Church.
