Delbert Woods, 89, died July 17, 2025. He was born February 24, 1936 in Good Rock, Kentucky. He proudly served our country in the United States Army as a Master Sergeant, he retired in 1985. A resident of Okeechobee, Florida for 40 years, he was a member of the VFW and American Legion. A very patriotic man, he enjoyed anything military related.
Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Lipps; father, Dudley Woods; stepfather, Loyd Lipps; and brothers, Mearl Lipps and Curtis Lipps.
He is survived by his sisters, Audrey Swafford, of Manchester, Kentucky, Ann Napier (Jus), of Charlottesville, Indiana, and Faye Smith, of Danville, Kentucky; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews; and many special friends in Okeechobee, Florida.
Services will be held in Kentucky under the direction of Britton Funeral Home.
