Starlin Jones, 86, of London, formerly of Manchester, was born, January 20th, 1927, and passed away, December 5th, 2013 at his home. He was a member of the Morgan Branch Baptist Church and a Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his children, Jeff Sams, and wife, Terri, of Burning Springs, Star Sproles, and husband, Ron, of London, Christy Barger, and husband, Wayne, of London.
He is also survived by one brother, Carlyle Jones, of San Antonio, TX, one sister, Emma Goins, of Beech Creek, four grandchildren, Summer Pennington, Jamie Barger, Joe Sams, Chelsey Hacker, and five great grandchildren, Michael Sams, Rachel Sams, Katie Sams, Bailee Pennington, Jaxson Sams.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ezell Bowling Jones, and his parents, George and Ethel Jones.
He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his death.
Funeral services for Starlin Jones will be held 1 PM Monday at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Scotty Jewell and Al McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Patrick Deaton Cemetery on Beech Creek. Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at the Britton Funeral Home.
