Mr. Carl Mills, age 67 of Manchester, departed this life on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Continue Care Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky.
He was born on Wednesday, April 24, 1946 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Chester Jack and Eva Smith Mills. He was a member of the Mill Creek United Methodist Church and was baptized in April of 2006.
He leaves to mourn his passing his sisters: Donna Marie Mills Jackson and her husband Ora of Manchester, Bobbie Jean Mills Messer and her husband Otto of Manchester, & Thelma “Jessie” Mills Langdon & her husband Clarence Ercel of Morrow, Ohio. Also surviving are the following nieces and nephews: Ronnie Jackson and his wife Toni Rose, Ronald Wayne Jackson, Larry Jackson and his wife Paula Lynn, Norma Jean Messer, Gary Lynn Langdon and his wife Rhadene, Lisa Michelle Langdon Riley and her husband Barry, and Patricia Ann Messer, 9 great nieces and nephews, and 4 great great nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Chester Jack and Eva Mills, and his brothers: Woodsen Mills, Lindsey Mills, and Chester Jack Mills, Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Carl Mills will be conducted on Monday, January 13, at 1 PM at the Mill Creek United Methodist Church. Rev. Bill Culton, Rev. Robert Gross, Rev. Herman Asher, and Rev. Reid Brock will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Mills Cemetery in the Bright Shade Community.
Visitation will be on Sunday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel and on Monday after 12 PM at the Mill Creek United Methodist Church.
