Eugene Smith, 86, of Manchester, passed away Friday August 15th, 2014 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
He is survived by his Son Ricky Smith and wife Vickie, Manchester, and two daughters: Trish McWhorter and husband Freddie, London, and Diana Hamilton and husband Frank, Boone, North Carolina.
He is also survived by two sisters Pauline Gray and husband J.C. and Lois Jones, both of Manchester and the following 7 grandchildren: Renee Myers, Christy Smith, April Cranford, MaKenzie McWhorter, Wes Smith, and Chase and Sydney McWhorter as well as 2 great grandchildren, River and Haven Cranford.
He is preceded in death by his wife Flosie Smith, his parents Willy and Ethel Smith, and the following brothers and sister: Vance Smith, Vernon Smith, Ray Smith, Leslie Calton, and Preston Smith.
The Funeral Service will be held 12 Noon Tuesday August 19th, 2014 at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at the Britton Funeral Home.
