Mr. Gary Lee Byrd, age 55 of Tyner passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
He was born on December 4, 1959 in Manchester, Ky. to the union of Jesse and Evelyn Hensley Byrd. He was a member of the Leger Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Mona Sandlin Byrd and the following children; Brandon Byrd and his wife Amanda of Annville, David Jewell of Richmond, Shannon Jewell of Annville, Brittany Byrd of Tyner, Katie Gabbard of Mckee and five grandchildren; Elizabeth Marie Byrd, Connor Grayson Whitt, Shanon Jewell, Eden Jewell and Kallie Gabbard. He is also survived by his mother, Evelyn Byrd of Sextons Creek.
He is preceded in death by his father Jesse Byrd.
Funeral services for Mr Gary Lee Byrd will be conducted on Thursday, January 22 at 12 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Reed and Rev. Robert Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Jesse Byrd Family Cemetery at Sextons Creek.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21 at 6 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel.
