Ninnie Jones, age 65 of Manchester passed away on Monday, April 20 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was born on August 28, 1949 in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of Charlie and Mae Mills Murphy. She was a member of the Liberty United Baptist Church and a hospital lab technician.
Ninnie is survived by her sons; Greg Murphy and wife Becky of Manchester and Tony Hornsby and wife Kristy of Green River, Kentucky, and the following brother and sisters; Charlie Murphy Jr of Gooserock, Charlene Murphy of Gooserock, Hazel Slusher of Plano Texas, Frances Wagers , Mary Murphy, Oma Smallwood and Lillie Hibbard, all of Manchester.
Also surviving are two grandchildren; Jordan Murphy and Trestin Hornsby; one great-grandchild; Kyra Hornsby and one great-great grandchild; Braxton Jace Murphy. She also leaves many other family, friends and church family to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Mae Mills Murphy and her brother, Jim Murphy.
Funeral service for Ninnie Jones will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 2 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Roberts and Charlie Murphy Jr officiating. Interment will follow in the Murphy Cemetery at Gooserock.
Visitation will be held on Friday, from 11 AM to the funeral hour.
