Mr. Bennie Henson, age 69 of Garrard departed this life on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Jacksboro, Tennessee.
He was born on Tuesday, September 4, 1945 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Hugh and Mamie Hicks Henson. He was a coal miner and a member of the Baptist church.
He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter: Kizzie Davidson and her husband Darren of Jacksboro, Tennessee, his son: Glenn Henson of Manchester, his step-children: Alisha Foster of Corbin, Jeff Merriman of Manchester, Jody Merriman of Indiana, and these grandchildren: Justin Henson, Zachary Davidson both of Jacksboro, Tennessee, Rella Mitchell and Jennifer Deaton of Barbourville, a host of great grandchildren, his sisters: Sally Bowling of Manchester and Kizzie Bowling of Manchester, and other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Hugh and Mamie Henson, his sons: Billy Henson, Marshall Henson, his daughter: Louise Henson, and 2 brothers: Bill Henson and Danny Henson.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bennie Henson will be conducted on Thursday, June 11 at 2 PM at the Potter’s House Holiness Church. Rev. Bobby Stevens and Rev. Todd Hicks will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowling-Henson Cemetery in the Bar Creek Community.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening after 6 PM at the Potter’s House Holiness Church.
