Mrs. Jean Stevens Sams, age 66 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at her home.
She was born Friday, June 3, 1949 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Robert and Grace Maxie Stevens. She was a manager and worked in customer service at Walmart, and was a member of the New Beginning Community Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Taylor Sams of Manchester, her son: Steven Scott Sams of Manchester, her step-son: Bryan Sams of Hamilton, Ohio, and her grandchildren: Colby Scott Sams and Macy Rose Sams. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters: Barbara Root of Manchester, Faye Hicks of Manchester, Danny Stevens of Manchester, Vickie Bruner of Manchester, Debbie Goins of Cadiz, Kentucky and Bobby Douglas Stevens of Manchester.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Grace Stevens and her sister: Joan Cotton.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Jean Stevens Sams will be conducted on Monday, July 20 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Reid, Rev. Todd Hicks and Bro. Jason Root will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 6:30 PM on Sunday at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
