Former Clay County businessman Reverand Wayne Reid passes away

Rev. Wayne Madison Reid, age 68 of Manchester, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 7, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born in Richmond, Oho on Friday, November 15, 1946 to the union of Herman “Skin” and Martha Woods Reid. He was a Baptist minister.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 48 years: Donna McQueen Reid, his sons: Wayne Scott Reid and his wife Crystal Sandlin Reid and Todd Madison Reid and his wife Virginia Smith Reid, and his daughter: Marty Lynn Reid Braden and her husband: Daniel Braden. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Noah Reid, Jacob Reid, Hanna Reid, Jada Reid, Elizabeth Reid, Peyton Braden, Madalyn Braden, Daniel Braden, Lonnie Braden, Samantha Braden and Austin Braden and his great grandchild: Brooklyn Brumley. These brothers and sisters also survive: Danny Reid, Jerry Reid, Sammy Reid, Joy Reid, and Susie Davis.

He is now rejoicing in Heaven with his departed grandchildren: Seth, Isaiah, and Alan Reid.

Pastor Wayne Reid was loved dearly by his family and friends. Dad, We love you with all our hearts until we hug your sweet neck again in Heaven.

Funeral Services for Rev. Wayne Reid will be conducted on Saturday, August 15 at 3 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home of Manchester, Kentucky.
