Mr. Earnest “Strawberry” Thompson, age 70 departed this life on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Saturday, May 26, 1945 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Phillip and Nannie Thompson. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a factory inspector.
He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter: Nancy Karen and her husband David “Weiner” Wombles of Fogertown, his grandchildren: Alexis Wombles, Morgan Wombles, Macy Wombles and Carter Wombles and his great granddaughter: Mya Roberts. Also surviving is his sister: Ethel Davidson of Hamilton, Ohio and his brothers: Morris Glenn Thompson of Fogertown and Russell Thompson of Louisville.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Phillip and Nannie Thompson, his son: Ernie Thompson, his wife: Joann Thompson and his brothers: Phillip Ray Thompson and Billy Gene Thompson.
Funeral Services for Mr. Earnest “Strawberry” Thompson will be conducted on Thursday, September 10 at 3 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Terry Reed will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery in the Fogertown Community.
Visitation will be held on Thursday after 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
